Captain America: Civil War Deleted Scene Introduces A Deadlier Baron Zemo

There is little doubt that Helmut Zemo is one of the most terrifying Marvel Cinematic Universe villains although he doesn't look much at first. The character played by Daniel Bruhl initially appeared rather harmless in Captain America: Civil War but he was the only one who managed to tear the Avengers apart without killing too many people. Interestingly, a deleted scene from the MCU flick may have confirmed that Baron Zemo was a lot deadlier than you thought.

The deleted scene from Civil War is just one of several scenes that appears in Marvel's Infinity Saga box set. Interestingly, it proves that Zemo will do anything to fulfill his plans of destroying the Avengers and it all starts with the red book.

In the deleted scene, Zemo attends an auction for Hydra items used on and by the Winter Soldier. This happens to include the red book that basically served as a manual in unlocking the beast in Bucky Barnes. At first, the bidding goes rather well until the auctioneer notices Zemo and confronts him. However, he insists that he's not there to bid.

This could have been an amazing way to introduce Zemo in the MCU as it proves that the only thing that matters to him is getting his plans in order. However, it's also understandable why the Russo brothers decided to leave it out of the theatrical cut. After all, it was important to get right into the action. In addition to that, we still got to see just how vicious Zemo could be when someone is standing in his way.

We can't get enough of Zemo and it's truly a relief that he will be a part of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. We probably can't say that Bucky and Sam Wilson agree with us on this.
