Capcom Announces Devil May Cry HD Collection For PS4, Xbox One, and PC

Capcom announced the Devil May Cry HD Collection a day before The Game Awards, which many thought would lead to a Devil May Cry 5 announcement. Unfortunately, no news regarding a new game was announced, though it could happen in another gaming event next year. At the least, fans will have a trio of remastered action games to go through early next year.

The collection comes with Devil May Cry, Devil May Cry 2, and Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition. Fans have fond memories of the first and third installment, while many view the second title as mediocre and the worst in the franchise, though it's not exactly a bad game since it's still a functional game that controls well. Still, it will be cool having all three games on the PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Devil May Cry 4 and DmC: Devil May Cry were remastered for current-gen gaming systems as well, so the complete Devil May Cry series will be available for everyone. The fourth installment was a solid enough game in its own right, though some fans complained about backtracking in the latter half of the game. Many fans balked at the DmC reboot, due to the radically different design of Dante. While the game was received positively by critics and fun to play, it turned off a lot of fans, hence the hope for a fifth installment.

Fans will be able to get the Devil May Cry HD Collection on March 13, 2018, for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. It's not yet clear how different this will be from the version that came out on PS3 and Xbox 360, though we can expect smoother graphics.
