Camilla Parker Bowles Thrilled To Takeover As Patron Of The National Theater
In its Feb. 14 issue, New Idea claimed that Camilla and Middleton couldn’t be happier with their new appointment. However, Prince Charles’ wife couldn’t allegedly help but wonder why Queen Elizabeth named Markle as the patron of the National Theater in the first place.
“Camilla was said to have been pretty miffed that Meghan was awarded the position in the first place especially when she only attended one engagement in January 2019. Camilla will be all the more delighted to take it on now after being disappointed not to get it the first time around,” an unnamed source said.

The queen allegedly appointed Camilla and Middleton as the new patrons of the three organizations because she has so much trust in them.
“In the queen handing these coveted patronages to Kate and Camilla, she is showing the world that she’s rewarding those who work hard and prove that the family has moved on from the Sussex chaos of the past couple of years. The time has come to put some steady hands on the wheel to restore the royal brand,” the unnamed source concluded.
While it is true that the queen has so much trust in Camilla and Middleton, it’s unlikely for the Duchess of Cornwall to be questioning the monarch’s decision.
The Duchess of Sussex has a background in acting and performance that’s why she was named as the patron of the National Theater.
Camilla Parker Bowles Will Be Queen Consort When Prince Charles Ascends The Throne
Her Majesty also proved just how much she trusts Camilla when she released a statement on Feb. 6 to commemorate her 70th anniversary on the throne. She said that when the time comes for Prince Charles to be king, she hopes that Camilla will be known as queen consort.
“When, in the fullness of time, my son Charles becomes King, I know you will give him and his wife Camilla the same support that you have given me; and it is my sincere wish that, when that time comes, Camilla will be known as Queen Consort as she continues her own loyal service,” the queen said.
Queen Elizabeth’s Support For Camilla Parker Bowles Explained
While speaking with People, royal historian Robert Lacey explained what the queen meant when she gave the Duchess of Cornwall a shoutout.
“In the message, she was acknowledging her own mortality and looking to the future. As she thought about her father George VI, she would have also thought about her mother and the importance she played as a partner to him. And of course, with the passing of Prince Philip, she is considering the sacrifices and difficulties of being a consort,” Lacey said.

Prince Charles Responds To Queen’s Wishes About Camilla Parker Bowles
Prince Charles also responded to the queen’s statement by saying that they are conscious of the honor that she wants to bestow on Camilla.
“We are deeply conscious of the honor represented by my mother's wish. As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our communities, my darling wife has been my own steadfast support throughout,” Prince Charles said.
