Star Wars: Cameron Monaghan Addresses Cal Kestis' Rumored Live-Action Debut

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order became one of the most acclaimed video games in the Star Wars franchise and its main character Cal Kestis also became a beloved character which prompted the rumors that he will be having his own live-action series soon. However, since then, we haven't heard a lot of official news and updates regarding it.

Recently, during an interview with Screen Rant, Cal Kestis actor Cameron Monaghan was asked about the possibility of doing the role in a live-action show. While he played very coy with his response, he did hint that there is an "interest" in the possibility and it is all that he can say for now.

"Well of course there's interest. That's about all I can say. [laughs]," Monaghan simply responded.

It is hard to tell whether the Shameless actor is actually teasing that there are active plans or not to bring Cal Kestis to live-action. It would be a huge precedent for Lucasfilm to do it since they haven't brought any main video game characters to the screen as of right now.

Considering that the character is beloved by a lot of fans and Lucasfilm is developing a lot of live-action shows at the moment, it would make sense to hear that they are bringing him to live-action. Monaghan is also an accomplished actor and has expressed his love for doing the role.

Obviously, we still need to wait for any official news and confirmation from Lucasfilm before we can really amp up our excitement for the project. Who knows, maybe they'll announce it at the upcoming D23 Expo.
