Star Wars: Cal Kestis Reportedly Getting His Own Live-Action Series


Lucasfilm has been developing a lot of live-action Star Wars shows for Disney+ to huge success so far and a lot of fans are excited to see what they have in store in their future projects as they're continuing to expand the universe. Now, it looks like a character from a beloved video game in the franchise might be heading to the small screen soon.

As reported by Star Wars News Net, YouTuber and Movie Trivia Schmoedown creator Kristian Harloff revealed a rumor that he heard from a reliable source regarding a live-action series centering on Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order character Cal Kestis that is currently in the works for Disney+. He heard that Cameron Monaghan has signed on to reprise the role in live-action, but no production dates have been set yet.

So far, none of the major trades have reported regarding this nor Lucasfilm have made any official announcement or confirmation of the existence of the project so we still have to take it with a grain of salt. However, Harloff has a respectable reputation when it comes to Star Wars insider information so there is reason to believe that the rumor that he heard might be true.

Considering that Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a popular game and Cal Kestis has also become a beloved character in the franchise, there is a reason to believe that Lucasfilm is considering making a live-action series centering on him along with many projects that they are working at the moment.

Monaghan is also a talented working actor who has starred in shows like Shameless and Gotham and has the name recognition that would make Lucasfilm confident in having him star in a major project. There is no doubt that he would be interested in playing the role as well in live-action.
