Fans will see the continuation of Bumper Allen’s (Adam Devine) story in Bumper in Berlin Season 2. Peacock has renewed the Pitch Perfect spinoff for a second season, and its creator already has an idea of what may happen next.

Devin reprises his Pitch Perfect role as Bumper in Bumper in Berlin. The story sees his journey in Berlin, where he’s reunited with his Cappella nemesis, Pieter (Flula Borg), to launch his solo career in Germany.

The Show’s Renewal and the Idea for Bumper in Berlin Season 2

The show’s first season dropped its six episodes on November 23, 2022. The finale saw Bumper marrying Pieter’s sister, Thea (Lea Abova), so that he could stay in Berlin longer to perform at German Unity Day.

Elsewhere, Heidi (Sarah Hyland) received a big opportunity in Los Angeles that would finally change her career path. Lastly, Pieter started thinking of rekindling his romance with his complicated ex-girlfriend, Gisela (Jameela Jamil).

In an interview with TVLine, executive producer Megan Amran revealed she already had an idea for Bumper in Berlin Season 2.

“It’s hard to not play the game of planning ahead,” she said.

The huge Olympics logo hanging above Bumper & Co. in the final scene wasn’t just there for nothing. It might have something to do with the next season’s storyline.

“I do love the idea of Bumper competing on the Olympics team, throwing javelin for Germany or something,” she continued. “Who knows, anything could happen!”

The Success of Bumper in Berlin

NBCUniversal Television and Streaming chairman of entertainment content Susan Rovner believed Pitch Perfect fans would sing praise for Bumper in Berlin and would enjoy seeing the new side of Bumper himself.

“Along with our partners at UTV, Megan Amram, Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman crafted an incredibly unique and charming story with new takes on iconic songs,” she continued, per Variety. “We can’t wait to dive further into this new hit with Peacock audiences.”

Alternatively, executive producers Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman added they were thrilled that fans would continuously enjoy the Pitch Perfect universe in Bumper in Berlin Season 2 on Peacock.

“We look forward to even more hilarity and relentless mouth music in Season 2,” they stated.

Aside from Devine, fans will continuously see Borg, Hyland, Abova, and Jamil in the show’s second season.
