Star Wars' prequel trilogy left the door wide open for Samuel L. Jackson's Mace Windu to make his return down the line. Now, considering his co-stars Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader) are set for their much-awaited homecoming to the franchise, not to mention Temuera Morrison coming back as Boba Fett, the purple lightsaber-wielding Jedi's reemergence is just a matter of "when".

Recently, Jackson made headlines after revealing that he's been lobbying for a Star Wars comeback. According to the Marvel Cinematic Universe star, he approached Bryce Dallas Howard about his desire to revive the character. Of course, fans know Dallas for her involvement in The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett and while she doesn't exactly call the shots when it comes to casting, her cryptic response to the Secret Invasion actor could be a hint that Windu's return is possible.
Taking to Twitter, Bryce retweeted a clip from Josh Horowitz's interview with Jackson on the Happy Sad Confused podcast and her response was quite intriguing, to say the least. Check it out below:

The MandoVerse has served as the perfect venue for iconic Star Wars characters to continue their respective arcs and the idea of Mace Windu making his triumphant return after being presumed dead doesn't exactly sound that farfetched.
Meanwhile, the third season of The Mandalorian is expected to drop later this year.
