Bruce Timm’s DCAU Returns with Trailer for Justice League vs. The Fatal Five

The Justice League battles the Fatal Five, (Tharok, Emerald Empress, Validus, Mano, and the Persuader). Based on the characters created by Jim Shooter.

It may be a while before we get the Justice League back on live-action, but WB Animation can still work their magic with DC's most famous supergroup. Just in, we have a new trailer for Justice League vs. The Fatal Five, and it sees the return of Bruce Timm's beloved DC Animated style.

Besides the appearance of the main trinity Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, we'll also get involvement from heroes like Mr. Terrific, Miss Martian, and Green Lantern Jessica Cruz. It's also worth noting that original DCAU voice actors Kevin Conroy, George Newbern, and Susan Eisenberg are all reprising their roles.

A lot of fans have been waiting for a #JLReunion to happen with the original members of the League coming back, but I guess we can settle for the trinity for now. Plus, it's always nice to see the return of a familiar art style. Hopefully, this movie gets enough traction to finally make that reunion film happen.

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is only one of several upcoming DC animated projects. As of now, WB Animation is working on an adaptation of the popular comics Batman: The Long Halloween. They've also announced that they're working on an adaptation of Mark Millar's classic Elseworlds storyline, Superman: Red Son.

Justice League vs. The Fatal Five is set to come out Aug. 5.
