Birds of Prey Gets Tarantino-Inspired Working Title and New Logo

DCEU's Birds of Prey is currently in the works with director Cathy Yan at the helm, and the working title for the film as well as its logo have leaked online. What's cool is, it references another group of "foxy" ladies who can kick ass.

Apparently, the working title for Birds of Prey is Fox Force Five:

Movie fans who've seen Pulp Fiction will know about the Fox Force Five. It was a concept for a failed pilot that would have focused on five different women with different abilities. Best let Mia Wallace explain:

Coincidentally, the Birds also have five members to focus on, namely Harley Quinn, the Huntress, Black Canary, Cassandra Cain, and Det. Renee Montoya. I guess it's pretty neat that the production was able to make an accurate reference with FFF.

The story for Birds as far as we know is that Harley is trying to get over her break-up with the Joker, and she somehow assembles the Birds to save little Cassandra Cain from the clutches of the Black Mask (Ewan McGregor). Batman villain Victor Zsasz is also part of the movie, but we don't know what kind of involvement he has as of now.

With a release date set for early 2020, hopefully, we get our first official teaser for Birds of Prey sometime later this year. Maybe they can even time it with the theatrical release of Joker. Speaking of which, that movie is also due for giving us a new trailer. What gives, DC?

Catch Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) in theaters Feb. 7, 2020.
