The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) might have taken a few years adventuring together with Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in Thor: Ragnarok, but it looks like Bruce Banner's relationship with Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) is going to continue on to Avengers: Infinity War even after his lengthy absence.
Sitting down to speak with Entertainment Tonight (via Comic Book), Johansson decided to talk about the first installment in the Russo Brother's two-part Avengers movie and during the interview, the Marvel star opened up a little bit about her character's relationship with Bruce Banner in Infinity War.
"I just finished Avengers: Infinity War. The first one," Johansson told the publication. "My character has this ongoing relationship with Mark Ruffalo's character. I had such devastation that day. I don't know why. I was so devastated. It was something about this character that Mark plays, and this is something that should feel so solid and suddenly doesn't or there's... And it reminded me of so much of the things going on in my own life at the time…"
While it seems like the romance between the two continues in the upcoming Avengers movie, there certainly seems to be some sort of trouble in the horizon for the couple. What does Johansson mean by devastation? Guess we'll have to wait and see.
Avengers: Infinity War premieres April 27.
