There is little doubt that Bright: Samurai Soul will once again focus on the conflict between humans and mystical beings. However, the anime spin-off to Bright also introduces something completely new to the franchise. The new clip from the animated film teases an epic showdown between samurai and orcs.
The Samurai Soulclip was shared by Netflix Geeked and it opens with Izo entering a building and immediately attacking the warriors within. The one-eyed Ronin manages to kill a few warriors before it catches the attention of the warriors' leader.
Somewhere in the building, a woman realizes that trouble is coming and immediately orders a young elf to hide. It doesn't take long before Izo goes up against the leader's right-hand man in a truly intense fight.
It's a brutal glimpse at what to expect in Samurai Soul and it certainly confirms that the film will not hold back on the action. Needless to say, we can't wait to see the film this October.
The synopsis for Samurai Soul reads as follows:
"A Rōnin samurai named Izo and an orc named Raiden, work together to bring a young elf and the powerful wand she wields to the land of the Northern Elves."
Bright: Samurai Soul will feature the voice of Shang-Chi and The Legend of the Ten Rings star Simu Liu as Izo. The movie will also star Fred Mancuso and Yuzu Harada. Japanese rock star Miyavi has been confirmed to provide the voice of the main villain Koketsu. The anime film will premiere on Netflix on October 12, 2021.
