Brie Larson Had To ‘Temper Expectations’ In Fast X After MCU Role

Brie Larson compared working on action sequences in Fast X versus when she had to fight as Carol Danvers aka Captain Marvel in her own franchise in the MCU.

The MCU star had a deliberate turn around when it comes to fighting in real life rather than in outer space, where she was used to, thanks to playing Carol.

In fact, the actress had even joked how ‘weird’ it is to not be flying in outer space.

“I had to make an adjustment, because really, the only fight sequences I had done, I have extreme power as Carol [Danvers].” Larson explained on Entertainment Tonight.

The Marvels actress added, “So I’m used to like, if I punch, then someone’s on a ratchet flying across. So I had to learn to temper my expectations for this one… They just go down.”

The Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness actress Charlize Theron agreed, considering she, too, had her share of working in the major franchise: “You’re like, ‘They’re only moving that much?’”

Who could compare literally being the strongest superhero in the MCU to anything else they could play outside the franchise?

Considering that Larson has grown popular since her MCU debut as Carol, MCU fans, too, would be weirded out not witnessing their hero punching bad guys into space.

Not to mention, no blonde hair and eyes glowing as she musters up her strength to battle!

Well, despite the huge difference in playing Carol vs. being her character named Tess in Fast X, she did highlight that becoming a part of the film always had her attention due to how amazing rehearsals were.

“I was just delighted the whole time. It was wild.” Larson shared with Screen Slam.

“There were so many times through rehearsal where I was just so into what I was watching, I was like, ‘Oh, I gotta come in and fight now.’”

Fast & Furious 10 is set for its theatrical release on May 19, Friday.

Meanwhile, you can catch Brie Larson back as Captain Marvel in The Marvels premiering on November 10.
