With the Skywalker saga nearing to a conclusion with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the franchise still has more to offer with trilogies and live-action series that are going to be launched in the upcoming streaming platform, Disney+.

And amidst the talks and reports regarding The Rise of Skywalker, a new rumor is all the rage these days, which involves Captain Marvel star Brie Larson to be included in the franchise.

Brie Larson was speculated to be cast in an upcoming Star Wars movie, particularly, the one that Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is developing. The rumor became a hot topic because of Feige's unexpected announcement for a Star Wars film. Add the fact that Brie Larson's character Captain Marvel is controversial and has caused a division among the fans.

The rumors would seem to be of benefit for the actress because she's been campaigning for a role in Star Wars for some time now. The actress seems to be enjoying the reports as she responds to the rumors with a photo of her dressed as a Jedi, holding a lightsaber alongside C-3PO. She went on to the caption the photo expressing her excitement saying, "Did someone say Star Wars?!"

Details on Feige's Star Wars movie are yet to be released, however, this is certainly a surprise for the fans and a win for the company since the producer has made huge strides such as having the first superhero film to ever receive a Best Picture nomination. In addition, a lot of the films he produced were a huge hit, including Avengers: Endgame, which is now the highest-grossing film of all time.

Also, rumors suggest that Feige already approached a major actor for a specific role. People are speculating that the person most likely to appear is Brie Larson. Considering that the actress is a big fan of the franchise, it might be true. But since she is busy preparing for her role in the next phase of the MCU, it seems that it won't be happening.

While there are no definite reports saying that Brie Larson would be included in Feige's film, we advise the readers to take these rumors with a grain of salt. Nothing is announced yet but it's certainly intriguing. Is Brie Larson just going along with the rumors or is she actually teasing for a role in Feige's film?

In the meantime, fans can look out for J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker which premieres this December 20.
