Brian Kibler Talks About The State of Organized Play in Magic: The Gathering & Hearthstone

Wizards of the Coast

Magic: The Gathering Arena and Hearthstone are two of the biggest collectible card games in esports but some players and fans have criticized their state of organized play recently for a lot of reasons. Now, CCG player Brian Kibler has taken it to YouTube to share his thoughts about the state of organized play for each of those games.

In a new video by Ominislash, Kibler explains how the state of organized play for Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone are flawed, pointing out recent criticisms such as lack of player interaction for MTG, too much going on for Hearthstone for players to keep up with, and no standing updates for both. Kilber also points out MTG's lack of clarity for the path to professional play and discusses Tania Russel's recent tweet regarding the state of organized play. Hopefully, both Magic: The Gathering and Hearthstone will learn from these points and improve in the near future.
