Breaking Bad Star Bryan Cranston Open To Returning As Walter White In The Upcoming Movie

Word broke out earlier today that Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan was working on a film set in the universe of his critically-acclaimed hit neo-western crime drama television series, and fans started going crazy. Breaking Bad has been regarded as one of the greatest television series of all time, and the series has won so many awards in its entire run on AMC. Not only has the series received recognition from the Primetime Emmy Awards, but it's also won Satellite Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Peabody Awards, Critics Choice Awards, and so many others.

Now, after hearing the news about Gilligan's new project, it looks like Breaking Bad's very own Bryan Cranston might be willing to reprise his role as the madly intelligent and ingenious Walker White a.k.a. Heisenberg.

Speaking in an interview with Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show, Cranston decided to open up about the upcoming Breaking Bad movie, saying that while it's exciting to hear that the show's been given its own film, he still hasn't received any script for the project.

"There appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad, but I honestly have not even read the script... I have not gotten the script, I have not read the script," the actor admitted. "So there's the question of whether or not we will even see Walter White in this movie."

However, while it remains to be seen whether Walter will get a cameo in the film, Cranston would definitely be willing to appear in the Breaking Bad movie if he were asked.

"I would, I would. Absolutely. If Vince Gilligan asked me to do it, sure, absolutely," Cranston said. "He's a genius, and it's a great story. And there's a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open. And this idea, from what I'm told, gets into those, at least, a couple of the characters who were not completed as far as their journey."

While Cranston has yet to receive a script, the actor clarifies that he has already been contacted by Gilligan, so there might still be a possibility for a cameo in the movie. After all, this movie is supposed to be a direct sequel to the series, following Jesse Pinkman (Aaron Paul) after his escape from the Nazis at the end of the series. Maybe Gilligan could place a few flashbacks, or maybe even dream sequences.

Let's wait and see.

The Breaking Bad movie has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
