Brain Works Episode 2 Recap

Brain Works Episode 2 sees Cha Tae Hyun and Jung Yonghwa solving the death of a famous guitarist. Geum Myung-se protested when he heard that he would be on a team with Shin Haru. He refused to cooperate with him.

Myung-se, on the other hand, was rendered speechless when he stated that the true perpetrator of Kim Jaewon's death was not Jung In-young.

With the unexpected cooperation between the two starts, Shin Haru surprised Myung-Se by telling him about the relationship between “brain capacity” and “wise choice," which people can only make for a limited amount of time a day. They interrogated Jung In-Young, and Haru claimed that she might be suffering from a memory disorder caused by brain damage. It was soon confirmed, which further raised the question of whether she really was not involved in her husband’s death.

The duo then summoned Kim Hee-Joo, Kim Jae-Won’s doctor, who was on the suspect list. After Haru made a straightforward statement, the doctor responded vaguely. Haru thought the doctor had a deeper connection with Kim Jae-Won.

Meanwhile, Jung In-Young testified about the relationship between her husband and his doctor. Kim Jae-Won’s manager reported the scene where his doctor threw away her cell phone, which only made her more suspicious.

Shin Haru arrived at the reported scene after many twists and turns due to his rough driving, but the scene became a mess with the appearance of a bleeding doctor and Jung In-Young, who stabbed her with a knife. The unexpected situation made the members of the neuroscience team agitated, and the search for the real culprit was once again in trouble.

On the other hand, Haru, who was focusing on the tablet, found a clue from Myung-se’s monologue. Haru said he now knows who the real culprit is and is headed to Kim Jae-Won’s agency.

They sat in front of the manager, and Haru conducted the “jajangmyeon or jjamppong” choice test that he did on Myung-Se. He then held out two cell phones and accused him of criminal behavior by breaking the alibi that the manager had put forward.

However, as the manager continued to deny it, Myung-se added tension by taking his cell phone as evidence, saying that the results will come out from the forensics. When the two left, the manager went up to the rooftop and checked the cell phone hidden in the soil, then ran away when the two reappeared. Myung-se and the manager got into a violent fight, and at first, Haru didn't care. But when the manager threatened Myung-se with scissors, Haru saved him by giving the manager a sharp kick that made the scissors fall.

The manager confessed that he committed the crime for Kim Jae-won, who wanted to show his best performance until the end, but Myung-se disagreed with him.

At the end of the day, Haru took a picture of Myung-se getting money from someone. He then told the newspaper about the "corruption police report," which made things worse. However, when the smile disappeared from Haru's face, who was checking the article the next day, Myung-se burst into a pleasant smile, raising questions about what on earth happened to the two.
