Both Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra are Coming to CBS All Access

With Avatar: The Last Airbender coming out as one of the most viewed shows on Netflix for several months, the streaming service is geared to release the sequel Legend of Korra this August. What's interesting is, CBS now wants in on that Avatar traffic.

CBS has just announced a new roster of shows from Nickelodeon, and besides the likes of Spongebob Squarepants, Danny Phantom, and Rugrats, the list also includes both Avatar shows, The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.

This is certainly a solid title for CBS to add, especially since they have all of the Star Trek library. Besides Avatar, they also managed to nab some solid Comedy Central shows like Reno 911! And Chappelle's Show. They even got RuPaul's Drag Race.

Though CBS has managed to nab Avatar, only Netflix has the rights to the live-action adaptation of The Last Airbender. We have no idea when they plan to release the show, but fans are hoping that we get an update sometime later this year. With M. Night Shymalan basically showing us what not to do with the Avatar adaptation, hopefully creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino could give us the live-action Airbender that we deserve.

As for The Legend of Korra, the show is finally hitting Netflix in a few weeks. While the story isn't as tight-knit as Airbender, Korra is definitely a great follow-up, and you can see the ambition when it comes to developing Korra's character apart from Aang.

Catch The Legend of Korra when it starts streaming on Netflix on Aug. 14.
