Naruto fans have had quite a year so far. After the anime’s 20th anniversary celebration in October 2022, the major developments for the series continued.

For instance, it was revealed that the original Naruto anime will return soon with new episodes.

Plus, series creator Masashi Kishimoto himself released a new manga one-shot starring Minato Namikaze.

But perhaps the biggest development is the Boruto manga’s three-month hiatus. The manga entered this lengthy break as the series has gotten a timeskip, with the next chapter being set some years after the last.

This means the new chapter will show the main cast with new looks, not unlike Naruto: Shippuden which was also set after a timeskip.

For starters, Sarada has a striking new outfit and hairstyle that got a lot of attention when it was finally revealed. Many fans loved the design as it’s reminiscent of the Akatsuki outfits.

Now, it’s Boruto’s turn to get an official post-timeskip visual. As expected, fans are going wild over it.

The new visual was revealed via the official Naruto and Boruto Twitter account, and it shows Boruto Uzumaki in a striking new outfit. He has also noticeably aged in this new design owing to the timeskip.

Along with his new look, the visual also features the logo of Two Blue Vortex, the official title of Boruto Part 2.

Aside from being shared to promote the manga’s return, this visual is also expected to be the cover of the next V Jump issue.

To further hype up the manga’s return, all the chapters of Boruto Part 1 have been released for free in Japan on Shonen Jump+.

Boruto: Naruto Next Generations Chapter 81 will be released on August 20, 2023.

The new chapter will be released outside Japan in English via Manga Plus and Viz Media’s Shonen Jump service.
