Book of Vishanti Spotted in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness New Trailer

Despite the film hitting theaters in just almost two weeks, the plot of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness still remains mysteriously vague. What fans only know is that Benedict Cumberbatch will reprise the role of the titular hero, and Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch will have a prominent role in the upcoming film.

Aside from that, we will witness again a world of mystical spells and weapons in the upcoming highly-anticipated sequel.

While Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch are originally tied with magic as compared to the rest of the MCU, mystical items like Stranges' loyal cape, Kamar Taj's mystical weapons, and Wanda's Darkhold are confirmed to return in the film.

Olsen's Scarlet Witch is confirmed to balance being good and evil, heavily influenced by WandaVision's Darkhold. A mystical book that contains powerful dark magic spells, and is considered the most potent of dark magic. However, those who will read the Darkhold will be corrupted by evil, similar to what happened to Agatha Harkness in WandaVision.

However, it looks like Darkhold will meet its rival in the upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness following a new trailer that offers the first look at the Book of Vishanti, another mystical book that serves as the counterpart of the Darkhold.

If Wanda's Darkhold is the representation of evil in the mystical world of MCU, the Book of Vishanti is purely for good. Although we don't know yet how the Book of Vishanti will be used for the upcoming sequel, in the Marvel Comics, the book is solely used for defensive spells which are certainly valuable if you're going to face-to-face with Olsen's Scarlet Witch and mystical beings of the multiverse.

It's a good thing that the two books are confirmed to play a key element in the upcoming sequel. Although we don't entirely know yet how the books will be used in the film and if it will be as similar to their version in the comics, it's safe to assume that the Book of Vishanti will be added to Doctor Strange's collection of mystical items, and he might use it to defeat the Scarlet Witch.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will premiere in theaters on May 4.
