The second season of The Mandalorian only has three episodes left, and based on the trailers that have come out, nobody has any idea of what's coming next. After the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano, word has it that an iconic ship will be making its return to the series in the next few episodes.
According to Making Star Wars, sources have confirmed that Boba Fett's Slave I is going to be making an appearance in The Mandalorian. We don't know exactly how and when the ship will show up, but it's said that a cockpit was built to represent the Slave I.
Seeing that the first episode of the series had teased Boba Fett and his armor, it would be neat if the season could be book-ended with the final episode having Boba take center stage. We don't really know what happens to the Slave I after Empire Strikes Back, but we can assume that it was on Tatooine during Return of the Jedi, and somebody (probably Jawas) procured it while Boba was stuck in the Sarlacc Pitt.
I have to say, while it's neat that these characters are appearing, I am feeling that the main story with Din and Grogu is somewhat getting less attention. I mean, a lot of people love the last episode, but it didn't feel like anything significant changed for Din besides him knowing Baby Yoda's real name and being told to go to another planet again.
With three episodes remaining, I just hope that the nostalgia bait is kept to a minimum and we get some major story progression.
