Big Belly Burger is a fictional fast food restaurant chain in DC Comics. It was created by John Byrne and Jerry Ordway for 1988’s The Adventures of Superman #441. It is inspired by the real-world restaurant chain, Bob’s Big Boy.

In DC Comics, Big Belly Burger was founded in Coast City and expanded nationwide following its purchase by LexCorp. The restaurant is well-known for its French fries, milkshakes, and hamburgers. Its rival is O'Shaughnessy's, another fast-food restaurant.

While the Big Belly Burger fast food chain is fictional, there are some restaurants that are based on it. In the real world, there’s a Big Belly Burger-inspired restaurant at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom and Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Also, to promote Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021), Warner Bros. Consumer Products partnered with Wonderland Restaurants to produce a Mother Box-inspired meal which includes a hamburger from Big Belly Burger.

Big Belly Burger appears multiple times in The CW's Arrowverse. It has become the go-to place for the heroes of Star City, Central City, and National City as they fight crime and save the world.

The Arrowverse gives Big Belly Burger an origin story in Legends of Tomorrow Season 6, Episode 2, “Meat: The Legends”.

In this episode, the Legends travel to 1955 San Bernardino, California to track down an alien. Nate, Zari, and Behrad get jobs at “Big Bang Burger”, a burger joint run by Bert Beeman.

Big Bang Burger’s secret sauce causes everyone who eats the burgers to become addicted to it, which causes the place to become popular. It turns out, that secret sauce is actually alien goo.

When the Legends stop the alien and restore the timeline, a waitress named Sandy Sledge takes over Big Bang Burger and turns it into the first Big Belly Burger.

Now, in the DC Extended Universe, Big Belly Burger is featured in Blue Beetle! Watch Jaime as he finds out what’s inside the Big Belly Burger box in the trailer for Blue Beetle below:
