Another idol group member is set to start complying with his mandatory military enlistment. Block B rapper P.O (Pyo Jihoon) announced that he would be joining the military as part of the Marine Corps on March 28, 2022.
An official from his agency, Artist Company, also confirmed that due to the COVID-19 situation, they would not disclose the location and time of enlistment to avoid gathering crowds.

Thankfully, the musical Playback ends before P.O enlists. The musical was supposed to conclude on January 30 but was extended until February 13.
On the same day of the military enlistment announcement, P.O. was also reported recording his last episode with Amazing Saturday until March.
The key member of the variety program will still participate in the musical dictation problem-solving program three days before his military enlistment.
P.O has previously postponed his military service until December 2021 to focus on his acting career. The current military service law now requires men over 28 years old to enter the military automatically.
However, if the military administration recognizes a special reason, the enlistment date may be postponed until the age of 30.
Aside from P.O, actors Song Kang and Nam Joo Hyuk, EXO Kai, Ravi, and WINNER Song Minho are also expected to join the military this year.
Under the Military Service Standards Act, those who are born in 1994 must join the military by the end of December 2022.
Meanwhile, P.O made his debut as a member of the idol group Block B in 2011 wherein he has been actively engaged in music activities.
P.O has also expanded his career as an actor. The idol group member has showcased his impressive acting skills in the popular Kdramas Temperature of Love, Encounter, Love Alert, Hotel del Luna, More Than Friends, and Mouse.
Recently, it has been confirmed that he will appear in season 2 of Yumi’s Cells alongside lead actress Kim Go Eun.
Aside from participating in dramas, P.O has also had his share in making the audience laugh with his incredible wit through several variety and reality shows such as Lipstick Prince, New Journey to the West, Great Escape, and Amazing Saturday.
