BLACKPINK Jisoo's music video will be the most expensive material among the girl group's previous MVs, YG Entertainment confirmed.

Amid BLACKPINK's successful world tour, Jisoo will add more excitement as she is set to mark her highly-anticipated solo release this year. The main visual, who initially had doubts about pursuing her solo endeavors outside BLACKPINK, received the biggest support from her agency yet.

BLACKPINK Jisoo's Music Video Is the Most Expensive MV To Date

BLACKPINK and Jisoo's agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed in a statement that it set its largest budget ever for the girl group's video on its main visual material.

Korea JoongAng Daily cited the company, revealing that YG Entertainment started shooting Jisoo's music video parts overseas. The agency added that Jisoo's solo debut "is not far away," although it did not disclose further details about her new music, including the release date or concept.

"The music video for Jisoo's solo song is being filmed in an overseas location in strict secrecy," YG Entertainment said. "You can look forward to it as we invested the largest production cost ever among BLACKPINK videos."

Jisoo reportedly started working on both BLACKPINK's world tour and her solo album. For what it's worth, the biggest K-pop girl group, as of press time, is in the middle of its Born Pink world tour. It has already caused them to meet 1.5 million Blinks across the globe.

BLACKPINK will also make its historic appearance at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival in April. It will then perform during the Hyde Park British Summer Time Festival in July.

BLACKPINK Jisoo Initially Did Not Want To Mark Solo Debut

Before the recent development, she revealed that she had doubts about pursuing a solo music career outside BLACKPINK.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Jisoo previously said she did not have concrete plans yet.

"I'm not sure how much I want to go solo yet. The music I listen to, the music I can do, and the music I want to do — what should I choose? I love songs with lots of instruments. I love different bands and rock music. What do people want from me? There's chaos of conflicting questions," she said.

With that, she could not give an exact plan regarding her solo career.

But with the current progress ahead of her solo debut, BLACKPINK fans started offering their full support to her.
