BLACKPINK Rosé will make an appearance at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

The 2023 Cannes Film Festival, which started on May 16, will run until May 27 in Cannes, France. The annual film festival is set to honor new films of all genres from all countries as it maintains its status as one of the Big Three major European film festivals.

Apart from actors and actresses, it will also welcome personalities and icons, including BLACKPINK Rosé.

BLACKPINK Rosé To Attend Cannes Film Festival

On BLACKPINK Rosé's official Instagram page, the On The Ground hitmaker shared several posts on her reals. The first photo features a photo of a bunch of red roses and a text tagging Anthony Vaccarello and Yves Saint Laurent.

The next photo shows the letter with SAINT LAURENT text: "So happy to be with you in Cannes. Love, A."

Vaccarello is a Belgian fashion designer who currently serves as the brand's creative director. BLACKPINK Rosé has been its Global Ambassador since 2020.

She became the second BLACKPINK member to confirm her appearance at the annual film festival. Previously, BLACKPINK Jennie announced her attendance for her debut HBO drama, The Idol.

Korean Films To be Screened at Cannes

Although no Korean films were tapped to compete with other movies, a total of seven Korean flicks would be screened at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

The seven films, which include five features and two short films, will be shown in official and parallel sections. Meanwhile, Director Kim Jee Woon's Cobweb will be presented in the Out of Competition section, as well.

The same flick marked the filmmaker's third work to be invited to Cannes following his 2004 A Bittersweet Life and 2008 The Good, the Bad, the Weird.

The other films include Hopeless, In Our Day, Project Silence, Sleep, Lee's Family, and Hole.

The 76th Cannes Film Festival will also give awards to the selected films by independent entities.
