BLACKPINK’s Jisoo has dropped a major teaser for her upcoming solo debut on Monday, March 6, on Instagram. Aside from her solo music’s official release date, she also unveils a poster with the words “coming soon.”

YG Entertainment previously confirmed that Jisoo would make her solo debut this year—the last BLACKPINK member to do so. So, here’s everything fans need to know about her upcoming solo release.

Jisoo Solo Release Teaser

The 28-year-old shared a series of photos, revealing the official release date of her solo music on Friday, March 31.

The posts also come with a poster that features a bright red piece of cloth lying in the middle of a green field.

“See you soon,” Jisoo captioned one of the images. The said poster is also posted on BLACKPINK’s official Instagram account.

YG rang in the new year with the news that the female idol’s much-awaited solo debut was already in the works.

She would be the fourth and final member of the hit K-pop group to have her solo music following Lisa’s LaLisa and Rose’s R in 2021 and Jennie’s SOLO in 2018.

After YG announced Jisoo’s solo music, it confirmed that the hitmaker was already working on her solo music video.

“The music video for Jisoo’s solo track is entirely filmed overseas in strict secrecy,” it said, per Lifestyle Asia.“We invested the highest production cost of all BLACKPINK videos to date,” giving fans another reason to look forward to the mega project.”

As expected, fans quickly asked where the video’s secret filming location was, with some saying it was being filmed in Los Angeles at the time while others believed it was in Paris.

Osen News then noted the assumptions that the music video would be out this March before BLACKPINK would make their debut at Coachella in April.

Jisoo Working Hard on Her Solo Album

The label also revealed Jisoo’s hard work for her upcoming solo album.

“BLACKPINK’s Jisoo is currently working hard on recording her solo album,” YG said in a statement, via Soompi. “While carrying out a busy world tour schedule since last year, she finished the album jacket photo shoot and worked on music production whenever she got the time in order to keep the promise with fans. She will greet [fans] soon with good news.”
