The much-awaited return of BLACKPINK may finally happen in June if the words of an industry insider are anything to go by. However, instead of being excited about the news, BLINKs seem to be no longer interested in it.

A number of fans shared their sentiments about the comeback of BLACKPINK online and some are not even excited about it. Others, too, don’t want to believe the claim, saying YG Entertainment’s artists don’t stick to their comebacks dates.

Fans seem to be disappointed with the long wait they have endured seeing Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé and Lisa haven't returned to the spotlight yet as a group.

It has been more than a year since they dropped their latest album, The Album, in October 2020. With about 19 months of waiting and no new music release, fans started to get tired.

According to Koreaboo, for a K-pop group as popular as BLACKPINK, making fans wait for over a year and a half is painful. However, BLINKs already expect it from YG after the girls’ extended hiatuses in the past.

With that said, it looks like some have already lost their patience in waiting for their return.

In a post on Reddit, one fan shared her feelings about the girls’ comeback rumors. Instead of being excited, she’s no longer interested in what they’re about to offer this time.

“With all the rumors about the comeback I've been reading around sns, I was surprised that I didn't really care anymore. I feel like I've just moved on. Did this happen to anyone else here?” she asked. “I was a huge Blink, I would watch all their content and even rewatch their old interviews/binge watch BP House/Diaries and now...I even unfollowed BPinknews on Instagram. I don't view the accounts of the girls anymore, I'm not updated as to which magazines they are on or what new ads they have.”

Despite that, she hopes it’s just because of the drought and how YG handled the group's career.

Another fan commented on what she said, revealing BLACKPINK seems to disappear on her radar with no new project and reunion in the cards.

“It’s easier for me as I stan other groups too, so it’s not just them that I have to rely my entertainment on,” she explained. “Even now that the comeback is partly confirmed, I still am not as excited or have a high interest until I see the MV.”

Another one chimed in and felt sad that their management didn’t take advantage of their hype in the U.S.

On April 26, multiple media outlets reported an insider’s statement about BLACKPINK’s return in June.

As it started to become a hot topic, fans questioned how true it was.

"Oh, so they mean the fall. Nah, that means winter,” a couple of fans said, via AllKpop.

"Can they please literally just release SOMETHING,” another one said.

Someone then stressed the delay of other YG artists’ comeback.

Treasure was supposed to start its follow-up promotions in April, but the month is also most over and nothing has happened yet.

iKon and WINNER are also both set to come back in May. With the news that BLACKPINK will return in June, this fan asked if YG could handle it all.

So, will BLACKPINK finally return in June?
