It's been a couple of weeks since Scarlett Johansson shockingly sued Disney over Black Widow's release scheme and the entire comic book community is still buzzing about it. If you've been living under a rock for the last couple of days, the Marvel actress filed a lawsuit against the House of Mouse over allegations of breach of contract. To put it simply, Scarlett's camp is claiming that Black Widow getting a simultaneous release via Disney+'s Premier Access wasn't part of the original plan and it ended up hurting the film's box office potential.

It doesn't look like both parties will be mending the fence anytime soon and fans are left wondering what's next for Johansson now that she's pretty much considered an enemy by Disney. With the House of Mouse reportedly cutting all of its ties with the 36-year-old actress, a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe is something that doesn't look like a possibility for now.

Turns out, another major franchise is looking to take advantage of the fiasco and according to Giant Freakin' Robot's latest scoop, DC Films is wasting no time and actually offered Johansson a project over at the DC Extended Universe. The specifics of the said offer were not disclosed so of course, take it with a huge grain of salt for now.

Warner Bros. is already no stranger to bringing in stars who previously worked with Marvel Studios and director James Gunn is a prime example. The idea of Scarlett jumping ship to the DCEU sounds like an absolute game-changer for the franchise which has been struggling for years now to compete with the MCU. The real question is, which character would be the perfect role for Scarlett?

Black Widow is still streaming via Disney+'s Premier Access
