Black Widow Expected to Bring in $115M on Opening Weekend Alone

It looks like Black Widow is already off to a good start although the film is still a little over two months away from its premiere. A new report reveals that the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick is expected to bring in around $115 million in the box office on its opening weekend alone.

The prediction comes from Box Office Pro, which expects Black Widow to earn $115 million on its first weekend. The projected low numbers set the MCU film at $90 million while the high expectations could go up to $130 million. And this is just for the domestic projections. There's a good chance that the movie could do even better when the international numbers are counted.

We're not exactly surprised that the box office predictions for Black Widow are so good. After all, it's the first MCU flick after the wildly successful Avengers: Endgame. Moreover, it will focus on fan-favorite Natasha Romanoff who people have been rooting for to get her own solo film. Needless to say, we're already looking forward to the movie becoming a box office smash.

The synopsis for Black Widow reads as follows:

"Following the events of Captain America: Civil War, Natasha Romanoff finds herself alone and forced to confront a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Romanoff must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger."

Black Widow will premiere on May 1.
