Black Panther 2 Art Puts Leticia Wright's Shuri in T'Challa's Suit

We already know that T'Challa will not be recast in Black Panther 2 despite Chadwick Boseman's unfortunate passing. But is it possible that the sequel will introduce a new character as the next Black Panther? A new fan art puts Shuri in T'Challa's iconic suit and it could be something to look forward to next year.

The fan art was created by digital artist ultraraw26 and shared on Instagram. The image depicts Shuri wearing the Black Panther suit while looking at T'Challa's helmet as he watches over her. Check it out below.

It's a stunning illustration that strongly suggests that Shuri will take over as protector of Wakanda as well as an ally of the Avengers in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

This is an awesome idea considering that many fans have been hoping to see more of Leticia Wright's character in action. However, it is also important to point out that the Black Panther 2 plot hasn't revealed Shuri's story arc so it's best to take this with a grain of salt.

So what can we expect in Black Panther 2? Marvel Studio boss Kevin Feige confirmed during Disney Investor Day that "the sequel will continue to explore the incomparable world of Wakanda and all of the rich and varied characters introduced in the first film." This could mean that the new film will focus on one of the main characters instead and how they operate around Wakanda. Although this has not yet been confirmed, many believe that this could be Shuri or M'Baku.

Black Panther 2 is scheduled for release on July 8, 2022.
