Black Lightning Season 2 Poster Released, Teases More Metahumans In The Future

The CW has just unveiled the new poster for Black Lightning Season 2. Although the image puts the focus on Jefferson Price, the tagline might be teasing at the arrival of more villainous metahumans later this year.

The new poster was revealed by the official Black Lightning Twitter account. The image places Cress Williams' hero front and center with his family right below him. Interestingly, the poster also features Tobias Whale (Marvin "Krondon" Jones III) looking rather menacing. However, it is the new tagline that suggests more trouble in the upcoming episodes. Take a look at the poster below.

The tagline reads, "High Voltage Action," which could simply be a reference to Jefferson's powers. However, there are speculations that it hints at the new metahumans that will be introduced in the second season. After all, the premiere episode is titled The Book of Consequences. Unfortunately, this could mean Jefferson and his family will be facing more villains that were created by Greenlight. Needless to say, we are all looking forward to what's in store for the DC comic book hero this fall.

The second season of Black Lightning will prove to be a difficult one for Jefferson. It was previously reported that Garfield High School will be needing a new principal later this year. Williams himself addressed the speculations, saying that it is "part of the consequences." Could this mean Jefferson is giving up his day job to be a full-time hero? We'll have to wait until October to find out.

Black Lightning Season 2 will premiere on The CW on October 9.
