Black Adam First Reactions Are In: "Massive DC Outing," "Non-Stop Action"

In just a week, the hierarchy of power in the DCEU will change with the highly-anticipated arrival of Black Adam in theaters. As fans are looking forward to seeing Dwayne Johnson's long-gestated debut in the DCEU, they are also wondering whether this film will deliver the goods or it will be another disappointing entry in the franchise.

Last night, the film had its world premiere event where critics, journalists, and pundits also have the opportunity to watch it in advance and share their first impressions on the highly-anticipated DCEU entry. Based on the reactions so far, it looks like a lot of them have agreed that the film did deliver the goods.

Most of the praise are being given to the action sequences, the performances of Dwayne Johnson, Pierce Brosnan, and Aldis Hodge, its epic scope, the introduction of the Justice Society of America, and the post-credits scene which they claim got the most applause from the audience.

It is exciting to see that the film is getting a lot of positive responses based on these early reactions and it looks like the DCEU is back on track with what looks like a successful entry in the franchise. It's also a huge win for Johnson, who has been attached to the role for several years now and is expected to be a key player in the franchise moving forward.

Obviously, just like any reviews and reactions out there, everything here is subjective and you might have a different opinion once you see the film yourself. It would be interesting if these positive notices will translate to a successful box office run.

The film's logline reads: "Nearly 5,000 years after he was bestowed with the almighty powers of the Egyptian gods—and imprisoned just as quickly—Black Adam is freed from his earthly tomb, ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world."
