Black Adam Director Shares New Details About Noah Centineo's Atom Smasher

We already know that the Justice Society of America will play a major part in Black Adam. However, it looks like one member is uncertain about his role in the superhero team. Director Jaume Collet-Serra has shared new details about Atom Smasher, revealing that Noah Centineo's characters had a lot of questions to ask in the DC Extended Universe flick.

People were thrilled when it was announced that Noah Centineo will play Atom Smasher in Black Adam. The All the Boys I've Loved Before star was the first member of the Justice Society of America to be announced for the upcoming Dwayne Johnson movie. Still, it looks like Albert Rothstein isn't sure of his own abilities and how they could help the rest of JSA.

Jaume Collet-Serra recently spoke to Vanity Fair where he discussed his upcoming film and some new details about the characters. When asked about Noah Centineo's superhero, the director shared how Atom Smasher truly feels about being a part of the JSA.

"He’s still not sure that this is what he wants to do. He thinks this is what he wants to do. He thinks he’s on the right side, but he has a lot more questions," Collet-Serra said of Atom Smasher.

It's an interesting insight into the thoughts of a superhero and there is little doubt that Albert Rothstein has his reasons for being uncertain. Needless to say, we'll get to learn what this means for the character's future in the DCEU.

Black Adam will also feature three other members of the Justice Society of America. Pierce Brosnan will portray Doctor Fate while Aldis Hodge has been cast as Hawkman. Quintessa Swindell rounds out the JSA as Cyclone.

Black Adam will introduce Dwayne Johnson as the titular anti-hero. The film is scheduled for release on October 21, 2022.
