Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania boasts a stellar ensemble of actors that would rival any Avengers film and when it was announced that screen legend Bill Murray will be part of the impressive cast, the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe fandom instantaneously fell to its knees and relished in the idea of Murray becoming part of the billion-dollar franchise.

Now, some of you may be asking, how exactly was Murray cast in the third Ant-Man film? Apparently, he and co-star Kathryn Newton go way back and have a shared interest in golfing and after Bill landed the role, he hilariously sought the approval of the young star. Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, the Cassie Lang actress shared a conversation between her and the Ghostbusters icon prior to Quantumania's filming.

The rising star jokingly said that Murray asked for her permission to be in the film to which she responded that she doesn't exactly call the shots. Newton recounted: "Kathryn, I've been thinking. I think I want to join the Marvel [Cinematic] Universe. And I was just going to ask you if it was okay if I joined Ant-Man [and the Wasp: Quantumania].' And I was like, 'yeah, Bill. That's cool. That's cool with me. Maybe there's someone else to talk to.'"

Netwon is among the "new breed" of MCU stars who will undoubtedly carry the franchise in the next ten years. While some fans still haven't fully accepted her after taking over the Cassie Lang role from Avengers: Endgame's Emma Fuhrmann, I think she'll make a believer out of the skeptics when the film comes out.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania is set to hit cinemas on February 17th.
