People are understandably hyped up for Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. After all, Bill Murray has recently teased about his possible involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe sequel. So who is the Zombieland star playing in the highly anticipated film? Murray has just clarified whether is he truly involved in the upcoming Paul Rudd movie.
Murray was recently a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live where he spoke about The French Dispatch and his other current projects. Interestingly, the Lost in Translation actor played coy about Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania. Instead, he simply confirmed that he isn't allowed to talk about the film.
"Well, I'm not supposed to say. They're making a movie," Murray said. "Paul Rudd plays Ant-Man, and Evangeline Lilly plays the Wasp, and Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer, they're all in the movie. But I'm not at liberty to talk about it."
It's interesting to note that Murray is refusing to talk about the movie now when he was happily discussing a Marvel project that he has already filmed. It certainly has fans wondering whether he is playing an important role in Quantumania. In addition to that, there is a huge chance that it is a significant part of the film. The third Ant-Man movie will still be directed by Peyton Reed and will follow Scott Lang after the events in Avengers: Endgame. In the sequel, Scott and Hope van Dyne (Lilly) are expected to deal with the aftermath of a multiverse coming apart. The film will also introduce Jonathan Majors as Kang the Conqueror, a Variant of the character he portrayed in the Loki season finale.
Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is still being filmed and production is set to continue until next year. The sequel is then scheduled for release on July 28, 2023.
