Last year, we reported that Batman v Superman star Ben Affleck was going to direct and co-write an upcoming Batman standalone film with Georff Johns, and now the two have completed a draft for Warner Bros. to approve, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The site spoke with William Morris Endeavor's Patrick Whitesell, who revealed the following info:
"He's contracted to do at leastJustice League OneandTwo, so at least three times wearing the cape," he says, adding, "there's a script that he's written that is a really cool [Batman] idea, so that's out there as an option."
We've heard rumors about Affleck's involvement, but this is the first solid confirmation that he's going to be a part of it.
I thought Affleck did great as the Caped Crusader in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. He'll make a cameo in this August's Suicide Squad, and the two-part Justice League films that, despite of fan protest, will be directed by Zack Snyder.
