Ben Affleck To Direct Standalone Batman Film With Geoff Johns To Co-Write For Warner Bros.

Ben Affleck is teaming up with DC Comics' Chief Creative Office Georff Johns to write the solo Batman film that he will be directing, Deadline reports.

Johns has a lot of writing experience for comics and TV shows like Arrow, The Flash, and Smallville. Chris Terrio did some writing work on Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League, but his name is nowhere to be found in this report.

Affleck apparently wants to guide this film with his own efford, and the speculation is that the script could be completed as early as this summer before Live By Night begins filming in November. As most of you already know, Affleck happens to be playing the Dark Knight himself, so it's interesting to know that he will also be creatively involved in the upcoming Batman film. I think Affleck is better as a director than an actor. Although I'm not a huge fan of his works as an actor, his Oscar-winning film Argo proves that he has what it takes to compel us with his creative direction.
