Ben Affleck Explains Batman's Role In The Justice League

Justice League is making its way to the big screen in a few months time and Batman (Ben Affleck) has yet to gather the DC Extended Universe's superheroes together.

It's not going to be easy convincing the meta-humans to come together but it seems like Affleck's Batman is up for the challenge.

Speaking with Entertainment Weekly, the award-winning actor and director decides to talk about Bruce Wayne's role in Justice League, saying that the lone-wolf will have to learn how to work with others.

"He's put in this position of having to reach out, find other people, convincing them to do something," the DCEU star explains. "Part of the drama of the movie is the question of whether or not the team is going to come together. It's very different from the tenor of the last movie."

The Dark Knight's going to be a whole lot different in the mash-up film too.

"BvS departed a little bit from the traditional Batman," Affleck notes. "He started out with all this rage directed at Superman, because of his coworkers who had died in the fight Superman had with Zod."

"He was holding on to a lot of anger, in a little bit of an irrational way," the actor adds on. "Whereas this is a much more traditional Batman. He's heroic. He does things in his own way, but he wants to save people, help people."

It's good to hear that Bruce's returning to his senses. Part of fan's issue with Batman V Superman was his openness to killing his enemies – a trait that isn't shared by the traditional comicbook Batman. Warner Bros. definitely is trying to right its wrongs.

Justice League hits cinemas November 17, 2017.
