Batman: Arkham Collection Gets Surprise Re-Release on Xbox One

Before Spider-Man took over everyone's PS4 (until Red Dead Redemption 2 came out), the best superhero games around were Rocksteady's influential Batman: Arkham games. Using influential is no joke either as the series introduced a battle system that is now commonly used on a number of video games. If you haven't played them yet then you're in for some good news, as Rocksteady is planning to re-release all three games in one package for Xbox One owners.

Simply called the Batman: Arkham Collection, this collects all three of Rocksteady's games; Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight. Sadly, the underrated Batman: Arkham Origins is still getting no love on current-gen consoles since Warner Bros. Montreal developed that title.

Arkham Asylum introduced the iconic combat system everyone loves today, that is both simple and surprisingly complex. Arkham City is often seen as the series' magnum opus, introducing an open-world to explore and having a number of villains to face off against, not to mention a ton of costumes to use. Arkham Knight finally let players use the Batmobile to a mixed reaction but the combat and stealth were still too good to ignore.

Why this is only advertised for Xbox One thus far is a bit confusing but these games are Xbox One X-enhanced, which means they should look better in this improved console. Sadly, this also means that the game is a full-priced $59.99, which is disappointing since the Return to Arkham bundle and Arkham Knight are pretty cheap these days.
