Batman #75 Kicks Off Huge Batman Event, and Tom King's Finale

Tom King's Batman run, whether you love it or hate it, has left a huge impact on DC Comics. Ever since King took over, Batman has tried to marry Catwoman, teamed up with The Flash to discover the mystery of The Button, went on a double date with Superman and Lois Lane, and so much more. His 60th issue hit today and many of us are still shocked that he has had more issues than previous scribe Scott Snyder.

However, all things come to an end. On Twitter, Tom King revealed the outline for the next 40 or so issues of Batman but did it in a non-spoilery way. One thing that will stick with fans is that Batman #75 will be the start of King's finale, which will supposedly end on Batman #105. That's still a lot of issues but the fact that King decided to share this with the world is fairly surprising.

King also said that there would be a big Batman event that happens alongside issue #75, which should be fun. Tom King has hinted that he would be finishing his run on Batman after 100 issues, which was somewhat delayed since he had to take a small break. This is why writer Joshua Williamson will be taking over Batman for a quick (haha) crossover with The Flash.

Prior to his run on Batman, King gained acclaim for his work on comic books like The Vision, Grayson, and Sheriff of Babylon. His run on DC's flagship comic book has been a success and it will be interesting to see where he goes after the big finale.

Batman #60 is available in comic book stores now.
