Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy Part 2 is finally returning next week and a new trailer is hyping up the anime's second part. Not surprisingly, the new teaser promises a lot of crazy things happening all over again!
The new Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy Part 2 trailer shares some footage from the upcoming new episodes that will air in September. It also looks like Dark Schneider will once again be up to no good in the anime.
Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy premiered on Netflix in June with its first cour which consist of 13 episodes. The band Coldrain performs the opening theme song Bloody Power Fame while Tielle performs the anime's ending theme song titled Blessless. It is still unclear whether the second cour will have a new opening and closing theme as well.
Takaharu Ozaki is returning to direct the anime at Liden Films while Yousuke Kuroda is in charge of the series scripts. Sayaka Ono serves as character designer while Yasunori Ebina is the sound director. Team-MAX's Yasuharu Takanashi is composing the music.
The second cour of Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy will bring back Kisho Taniyama as Dark Schneider, Kanae Ito as Lucien Renlen, Tomori Kusunoki as Tia Noto Yoko, Hiroki Yasumoto as Gara, Yoko Hikasa as Arshes Nei, Tomokazu Sugita as Abigail, Ari Ozawa as Sean Ari, Shizuka Ito as Kai Harn, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka as Lars, and Mami Koyama as Anthrasax.
Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy is based on the manga by Kazushi Hagiwara and follows Dark Schneider, a dark wizard and founding leader of the Dark Rebel Army who reincarnated himself within the body of 14-year-old Luche Renren. It doesn't take long before Dark’s allies learn of his true nature and ties to the calamity that befell the Old World.
Bastard!! Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy Part 2 will consist of 11 new episodes that will premiere on Netflix on September 15, 2022.
