Banner Hulk Returns In New Avengers: No Surrender Covers

When Bruce Banner was killed by Hawkeye in Civil War II, fans knew that the Hulk would come back eventually and would make the world feel his anger. Aside from a brief appearance in the controversial Secret Empire event, we haven't seen Banner since and Amadeus Cho has been the only Hulk thus far. That is about to change as Banner Hulk will be returning in the third month of Avengers: No Surrender, with the recently revealed covers showing he isn't happy.

Considering how his eyes are glowing green, there is a chance that the Jade Giant is under someone's control and will make life hell for the Avengers. Since the story will revolve around a number of Avengers from the past and present, one can assume that Hawkeye and Hulk will have a face-to-face. With the Hulk seemingly in control, it looks like things might not go well for Hawkeye.

As if this wasn't enough, things aren't looking great for Amadeus Cho either. Going to Sakaar ended up being a bad idea, as the Totally Awesome Hulk will lose control and head to Earth with a vengeance. If this sounds familiar, the storyline is called World War Hulk II and is written by Greg Pak, the author of the first World War Hulk, so it's intentional. With Marvel promising big changes to Cho's life, could this lead to Banner being the only Hulk again?

Avengers: No Surrender starts early next year with January's Avengers #675. The title will be going weekly for this event.
