Bad Prosecutor Episode 3 sees Jin Jung working as fast as he can to uncover evidence linking the district chief, Lee Jang-Won, to the Seochong-dong murder case. He was able to sneak into the inauguration ceremony of Prosecutor Lee to arrest him as the prime suspect.
He connects to Yoo Jin-Cheol through a phone call and lets him confess that Prosecutor Lee is a sponsor of the woman who was killed and that he was the last person he saw with the victim.
Despite Oh Do-Hwan’s threat to ruin his career, Jin Jung criticizes his poor judgment of which side to be on. Jin Jung asks what he gets from being so loyal to a bad person.
Yoo Jin-Cheol gets summoned to the prosecution office, angering the prosecution by claiming that his previous disclosure of Park Ye-Young and Lee Jang-Won’s relationship was false. This occurred while Go Joong-Do and Baek Eun-Ji were absent for a while, allowing Oh Do-Hwan to take Yoo Jin-Cheol into his custody.

Jin Jung surprises Shin Ara and his subordinates by setting up a plan to sneak into the prosecutor’s office to get the USB containing the evidence that Oh Do-Hwan had stolen.
After several unexpected developments, Baek Eun-Ji sprayed tear gas into the room while everyone else escaped the building. Jin Jung retrieved the USB drive from Prosecutor Lee’s safe.
Lee Jang-Won knows that it was Jin Jung who created the commotion. He calls him into his office. While having a conversation, Jin Jung turns the television on, with the news announcing Lee Jang-Won’s involvement in the murder case.
Lee Jang-Won admits to Jin Jung that he really is a sponsor for the victim, but he did not kill her. He advises him to check his alibi that he was eating with his family during Park Ye-Young’s death, which Jin Jung has confirmed.

Do Kyungsoo Returns To The Beginning In Bad Prosecutor Episode 3
After reviewing Lee Jang-Won’s alibi, Jin Jung contacts him and asks if he knows who the real culprit is. Lee Jang-Won tells him to meet him at a certain building still unopened to the public, and he will tell him everything he knows about the murder case.
As soon as he arrives at the destination, Jin Jung calls him but cannot connect. Jin Jung gets off his car, but when he walks toward the office, he is taken aback to see a man fall from the building.
Jin Jung walks slowly to the car and confirms that the man who will is Lee Jang-Won. The composure with which he regarded the incapacitated Lee Jang-Won served to ratchet up the suspense towards the series’ next episode.
