Baby Yoda might be the breakout star of Star Wars: The Mandalorian, however, there's still a lot of mystery surrounding The Child. As fans continue to wait for the second season of the hit Star Was series, many continue to wonder about Baby Yoda's origin and his place in the galaxy far, far away.
Where exactly did Baby Yoda come from? Who took care of him before Mando? Is Baby Yoda a Jedi in training?
Though we may not get any answers from Lucasfilm yet as we continue to wait for the second batch of Mandalorian episodes, there's been a lot of talks online about The Child. According to a new theory making the rounds on Reddit, Baby Yoda may very well be tied to the prophecy of the Chosen One which has long since plagued the galaxy far, far away.
According to this theory, the Child and The Chosen One are always born together in the same year because it is The Child's Destiny to assist the next Chosen One in his or her or their path in balancing out the Force.
Though this theory doesn't necessarily have any direct ties to the Star Wars franchise, if it were proven true, then it would mean that 1000 years before the events of the original Star Wars trilogy, during the time of Yoda, another "Chosen One" had been born to try to bring balance to the Force. Back then there was another Child to accompany the "Chose One" as well.
It's an interesting theory, that's for certain. What are your thoughts on this new popular fan theory? Let us know in the comment section below.
