The trailers for Godzilla: King of the Monsters have only shown brief glimpses at the terrifying kaijus that are coming. Luckily, director Mike Dougherty has decided to share the awesome new posters featuring King Ghidorah, Mothra, and Rodan, and they all looking amazing.
Dougherty surprised his Twitter followers by sharing the three posters of the monsters. His first tweet featured King Ghidorah and a fitting caption of the kaiju's powers.
"They have as king over them, the angel of the Abyss. A star fallen from heaven to earth, he opened the shaft of the bottomless pit, and from the shaft rose smoke like that of a great furnace, and the sun and the air were darkened..." Dougherty wrote.
The second tweet focuses on Mothra and a tease on the kaiju possibly aligning with humanity in the film.
"Then from the smoke came locusts on the earth, and they were given power like the power of scorpions over the earth. They were told not to harm the grass or any green growth or any tree, but only those of mankind," the director wrote.
Last but not least is an awesome poster for Rodan that finally shows the monster's face.
"For the Beast that comes up out of the Abyss will make war with them, and overcome them… and kill them," wrote Dougherty.
Needless to say, the three posters have fans excited for King of the Monsters. Hopefully, Dougherty will share more posters of the other kaijus soon.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters will hit theaters on May 31, 2019.
