Avengers: Infinity War’s Domestic Box Office Haul Beats Justice League’s Total Gross

It might not have taken long for Avengers: Infinity War to beat the DC Extended Universe's troubled superhero cross-over movie, Justice League, but it looks like the first installment in Marvel's two-part Avengers movie has put Warner Brother's movie to shame again with its new numbers.

According to ComicBook.com, Infinity War's domestic box office haul has just beat the global total of Justice League. Reaching $660 million in North America over the weekend, the beginning of the culmination of the MCU managed to surpass everything that Justice League's managed to earn both domestically and internationally, the film's global haul coming up at $657 million.

The news doesn't come as a surprise to Marvel fans. Avengers: Infinity War was a winner the moment it hit cinemas, beating both Star Wars: The Force Awakens at the domestic box office and Fate of the Furious at the global box office during its opening weekend.

This month the film finally reached the $2 billion mark, making it the fourth film in the $2 billion box office club right behind Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Titanic, and of course, James Cameron's science fiction epic, Avatar.

Now at $2.02 billion, Infinity War just has a little way to go to beat The Force Awakens $2.068 billion at the box office.

Avengers: Infinity War is screening in cinemas.
