Last year, it was revealed through an Avengers: Infinity War concept art that Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man switched armors. Since then, fans have been curious to see what the actors look like in each other's costumes. Now, thanks to the movie's writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, we finally got a behind-the-scenes shot of the armor switch up.

During ComicBook.com's Quarantine Watch Party for Avengers: Infinity War, McFeely shared a photo of the Sorcerer Supreme sporting Iron Man's suit. The scene would have taken place when Tony Stark and Tom Holland's Spider-Man rescue Doctor Strange from Ebony Maw's Q-Ship. Along with the image, McFeely said there were other versions of the rescue, some of which were "too awesome" yet too long to keep. You can check it out below!

The concept art was first revealed in Avengers: Endgame - The Art of the Movie, with the piece showing off the rare occasion of both characters trading costumes. Strange is seen in Stark's armor, while Iron Man sports a spandex suit and the Cloak of Levitation. So while it isn't the first time fans have seen the former in Iron Man's suit, it is the first time to be seen in the flesh.

It isn't clear as to why this scene was changed, but directors Anthony and Joe Russo responded to the tweet, saying that the "best one made the movie." While it would have been cool to see this sequence with the switched-up suits, the directors surely had a reason as to why this scene ultimately didn't work.

Avengers: Infinity War arrives at Disney+ on June 25.
