Avengers: Infinity War Plot Details Reportedly Leaked

So far, all we know about Avengers: Inifnity War is that it will involve Thanos and members of the Avengers and the Guardians of the Galaxy but Marvel hasn't officially revealed any plot details about the epic film that won't be released until 2018. Joe and Anthony Russo are still developing the film, but according to the latest rumors, the film will be heavily based on the original Infinity Gauntlet arc from the 1990's comics, including Thanos gathering the Infinity stones so that he can kill half of all the life in the cosmos to impress the personification of Death.

If you're not familiar with the story, here's a friendly SPOILER ALERT!!!

Just as she was in the comics, Death will also be supposedly female in the film, but there are conflicting rumors that Cate Blanchett's Hela may take her place in the film. Take this with a pinch of salt for now, but here are the details from LRM:

Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War will feature the Mad Titan Thanos trying to impress the personification of Death (who will be a woman). Thanos assembles all six Infinity Stones and utilizes the Gauntlet to have god-like powers. His grand plan is that Death will also feel love for him if he brings her enough "souls," so he decides to extinguish half the life in the universe to impress her.
Death - the personification of death - is going to be in Avengers: Infinity War. Previous fan rumors have noticed that Cate Blanchett's Hela could substitute for the Death character in the comics, and what we've learned doesn't prove or disprove this theory. We can only confirm that Death is in the movie and is female.

The Russo brothers have said that they're considering every option for which characters they will feature in the film. Captain Marvel will be fighting alongside the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy. Nick Fury will reportedly return in Inifnity War. While a lot of characters will be featured in the film, it was reported that it will only focus on a few heroes who will have meaningful roles. The Defenders might even appear in the film.

Avengers: Infinity War is set to release on May 4, 2018.
