Avengers: Infinity War Deleted Scene Underlines Important Conversation Between Thanos And Gamora

Thanos (Josh Brolin) might have been the main villain of Avengers: Infinity War, but a lot of fans eventually sympathized with Thanos because of the underlying thread between him and his adoptive daughter Gamora (Zoe Saldana). The two shared a lot of dramatic scenes together in the film, and now it looks like there's a new deleted scene showing another important conversation between the Mad Titan and his adopted child.

A video of the sequence was recently released by the USA Today, and in it we get to see Gamora bringing an armoured Thanos her latest conquest while he sits on his throne. This scene seems to be taken from a different time where Gamora seems happy to be serving her father, however it cuts to a sequence where current Gamora reveals that it's actually a warped reality.

After talking back and forth, Thanos then goes on to admit why he let Gamora leave, saying that he "never wanted to force you (Gamora) into anything."

"That's why when you left me all those years ago, I allowed it. You haven't been under the impression that you escaped? Daughter, I raised you so much smarter than that."

Gamora then lashes out, moving forward and telling the Mad Titan that she is not his daughter.

"You didn't raise me, you kidnapped me, orphaned me, and imprisoned me. Everything I hate about myself comes from you."

It's a pretty dramatic sequence, and it does prove that Zoe Saldana can handle weighty scenes. Anthony and Joe Russo should have given the actress material like this before killing her off by letting Thanos kick her off a mountain for the Soul Stone.

Infinity War's sequel, Avengers 4, premieres on May 03, 2019.
