Avengers: Infinity War Concept Art Shows Weathered Look For Thor

Marvel fans might have gotten used to Thor's (Chris Hemsworth) short number in Thor: Ragnarok and Avengers: Infinity War, but it turns out the studio had a much different design for the Asgardian God o f Thunder

Taking to Instagram,Infinity War concept artist Rodney Fuentebella decided to share an early illustration that he completed for Thor in the film. Not only does the Asgardian God of Thunder have even more intricate armor in this piece, but he has a high-rise ponytail and an eye patch.

"Here is an early concept illustration I did of Thor for Avengers: Infinity War," the artist wrote in his post on Instagram. "I wanted to go for the wondering warrior look. Learned a lot in this project and had such a blast! Final look of Thor was done by Ryan Meinerding Enjoy!"

During the start of Infinity War, Thor had the same kind of look that he had when he left Asgard in Thor: Ragnarok. With cropped hair and a patch over his missing eye, the Asgardian God of Thunder looked pretty much the same to the Thor of Ragnarok. However, during the second arc of the film, Thor eventually threw the eyepatch away after Rocket (Bradley Cooper) gave him a cybernetic eye to fill in the hallow of his face.

While all well and good, for Thor, this concept art by Fuentebella would have also been a great look for the character. Imagine a weathered Asgardian God of Thunder.

Thor is set to return in Avengers 4 once the film premieres May 3, 2019.
