There is little doubt that the survivors will be working together in an effort to save the universe once again in Avengers: Endgame. However, new merchandise may have revealed that an unexpected pairing between two Marvel Cinematic Universe characters this April.
The image of the new LEGO Endgame set was shared on Reddit. According to the poster, the toy was available at their local drug store and retailed at $34.99. Take a look at the picture below.
Upon closer inspection, the set contains the War Machine figure along with Ant-Man and two different Outriders.
The LEGO set certainly teases a lot of possibilities. For one, James Rhodes' War Machine armor appears to look more like the Hulkbuster but with a huge gun on one shoulder. In addition to that, Ant-Man is roughly the same size as the Outriders so this could mean the new War Machine is going to be huge in Endgame.
We already have a glimpse at Rhodey's new armor in the Endgame trailer but he appears to be working with Rocket Raccoon instead. Nevertheless, we're looking forward to seeing War Machine working with Scott Lang after their not-so-friendly first encounter in Captain America: Civil War.
In Civil War, Rhodey found out the hard way that Ant-Man can actually transform into Giant-Man. The awesome scene also led to Tony Stark to say the hilarious line, "Give me back my Rhodey."
The synopsis for Endgame reads as follows:
"The grave course of events set in motion by Thanos that wiped out half the universe and fractured the Avengers ranks compels the remaining Avengers to take one final stand in Marvel Studios' grand conclusion to twenty-two films, Avengers: Endgame."
Avengers: Endgame will hit theaters on April 26.
